How to shop for toys at christmas.

Well the kids have gone back to school, time to get back to normality and a routine again. Amongst all that as we settle down to autumn when should we start looking/thinking for toys for that big event christmas?

In my experience 30 years in the toy trade parents tend to start to think about toys and christmas around the end of september and thats where my first idea starts.

Local toy store christmas club

Get down to your local toy store, have a look around and reserve the toys of your choice and with a small deposit, you can pay weekly or when suits then collect them when suits closer to christmas.This is a great way of paying without getting into debt but also having the best toys for you reserved and away from little ones eyes!!  Also your local toy store may offer services such as gift guide, delivery and assembly of bikes and scooters.

A good toy gift list will keep you saine!!

I think getting a list together of your children and what they are interested/playing with and ideas what to get them is a very good start. This will give you an organised based on what to get and hopefully cause less stress, confusion and possibly overpsending. This list is a guide and may change but will really help you keep saine at this very busy christmas time.

Deal deals everywhere !!!!

Tis the season and there is always loads of deals, 50%off, 3 for 2 , half price sale trying to entice you. The trick is there maybe one or two good deals but dont be fooled always do your research and also look at your toy list, the toys on sale may be nothing on your list that your child likes.!!!  Many of the discount shops have raised there prices and amazon have slowly turned the price screw for the conveneince of insatnt delivery. So do look around, supermarkets, and local stores and small businesses on-line.

Last minute shopping 

As well as being super organised and everything wrapped up for the end of november!!, i always think it is worth leaving some gift purchasing till december, so you can go out into the shops  and get that xmas feel as well as finding some deals probably or some real cracking presents.The shops will really start to slash their prices and would you believe the first week of december is relatively quiet and pleaseant for shopping too.

Tok-tok live shopping

Toy sales on tik-tok are fast becoming popular, live shows showing toys on offer or bundle deals, but just be careful some of these bundles are not filled with the primary toy ranges they are the periferal branded toys and also do you want all the toys in this bundle deal, again are the toys on your ideas list? Also tik-tok lives every night may get you caught up in the spending trap, just be careful.
